What is a good laptop to run truck diagnostic software on?

Lots of Panasonic toughbooks out there in this role, cause they have a good chance of surviving the 5ft tumble from the drivers seat.

I have just a standard windows 10 laptop with a 15” screen. It works fine.

Whatever flavour you like, but I would look at getting something with solid state storage instead of a hard drive. It will be less prone to failure from the inevitable bumps or even drops.

Personally I'm a fan of Chromebooks and the like, with most of my work in the cloud. However I do a lot of work with and for people in far-flung locations, so collaboration and sharing is easy-peasy.

Roger that. I did replace my hard drive with an SSD.
Also have a Chromebook flip for general browsing.
