The KTA engines are getting harder to find but I’ve ran across several QSK19’s. Are they basically an electronic KTA? I realize they’re an industrial engine but I think one might work in a truck. I haven’t seen or heard on many folks putting them in large cars.

Some large ag machines use the QSK, 900 horsepower is what comes to mind.

I ran a CaseIH Steiger back some years ago that had a QSX but, they got replaced with the FPT(Fiat) engines. I think the QSX was similar to the ISX, back then.

QSX was the industrial version of the ISX. Different setup in rpm range and what was called a power bulge, 600 horsepower @2200 and 660 when pulled down to either 1800 or 1900. This was used in a John Deere self propelled chopper, and a Claas version latervused a 12 cylinder Mercedes in a v configuration, so the K Cummins is to compete with that.
