    Hi

I’m planning on going O/O by the end of the year, hopefully. I’m based out of south Florida and plan to run mainly in the SE corridor, power only loads. Running in this area would give me decent home time while still making a decent profit.

I realize this is a very general question, But how likely is this plan to succeed given my location and home time? Would it even be worth it?

What are your experiences running loads in FL, GA, AL, NC etc?

Agree 100%. Personally I’d already be relocated up north, New England area. Rates are MUCH better and would make my O/O plan worth it.

And you would do much much much much much better with your own trailer.

You will make more money and have so much more dexterity with what you can do.

    Another general question:
Which corridor (NE,SE,NW,SW,MW) have you found to be most profitable, in your experience?

I’m living in a tough spot for trucking in general. However, I’m willing to move where freight is more consistent.

I live in FL as well and I will tell you that you can’t have both
Home time and decent pay unless your idea of decent is much much less than mine
If I’m going to put on my underwear then the juice has to be worth the squeeze

My thought. Running short in the SE and being home you will feel like you never leave work
    Early starts. Late returns

86scotty, KullenTrucking and p608 Thank this.

If you’re willing to move. And that makes more sense than running a few weeks out then I’d suggest anywhere on I80 and more so Ohio area as a lot of freight . At least flatbed moves in that area and would possibly allow you home during the week or weekend
Michigan is also a good FB area for coils

    KullenTrucking Thanks this.

if i was willing to move n still live somewhere cold, 80 in eastern ohio seems to have a real low cost of living vs earning potential as an oo.
