Imperial County, California: 15 killed in major vehicle crash - CNN

27 people in one SUV????? Not knocking the nationality here. I know Mexicans will crowd into one vehicle. Yet 27 people? How big was the SUV?

According to this article SUV may have actually been a bus. "Officials believe the incident began with a collision between a semi truck and an “SUV,” which Fox News says may have actually been a bus."
17 dead following ‘mass fatality’ crash at US-Mexico border

It's hard to tell from the pictures in the article, but it looks like a dump truck (or a tractor) pulling at least two trailers. I was always scared of driving around those setups.

I’m guessing this accident uncovered a people smuggling operation coming up from Tijuana.

Ford Expedition, legal capacity 7-8. Terrain; flat as a board, no obstructions...

    Just tragically careless.

Countless times a year here in Tejas Dps will have a chase with a stolen pickup that won’t stop for a traffic stop. The pickup will flip at high speeds and 20-30 illegals get thrown out of it. The coyotes steal the f250’s,f350’s, 2500,0r 3500 crew cabs from the big cities and roll back down south with them for a run back up loaded with people.

Most of the coyotes can’t drive worth a darn.

You wonder why it crashed. Do the math. 27×150lbs average person. That's over 4000lbs . Must of handled great!!

It’s no secret here in this part of the country. The Fords are the number one stolen truck with the rams a close second. They arn’t being stolen by your neighbors for a joy ride. It’s either for parts or shuttle service from the border. Trucks stolen from as far as Dallas are found down south beat the heck with the “ keys”still in them after the run has been completed.
