I understand some companies, like crst for example, will sue you if u quit before a year, or will block other companies from hiring you. Are there any starter companies that don't do stuff like that? I could understand if they want u to pay for their school but I don't really want to work for a company that is going to sue me

Uphold your end of the contract and have nothing to worry about.
If you want to leave early, then pay off the remainder of the contract.

Not a single shred of proof that has ever happened.
Mostly it's people that broke their end of the contract (borrowing money, and refusing to pay it back) that get sued. The same people can't accept that they actually are in the wrong so have to make up stories to "prove" just how evil the company they still owe money to is.

Heck, a good bit of stater companies don't even sue the debtor, they simply turn the bill over to a collection agency, Of course there are some, like CRST, will even go after the new company for breach of contract.
Moral of the story, pay your bills and you will have no trouble. Better yet, don't get yourself beholden to any company and pay out of pocket (bank loan, etc.) so they have no hold over you.

So they DO stop you from working at other companies? Do you just have to pay off what you owe and then u can find a job elsewhere? Im just trying to get info. Im new to this.

I think CRST is about the only one that goes after another company. As they are team only, and bottom of the barrel even in comparison to othe megas, you don't want to go there anyway.

Deere hunter, DoubleO7 and Vic Firth Thank this.
