    Per the poster of the video, "Everyone is fine. I saw the driver run. You see this all the time on Youtube, but to see a train hit a BIG truck and drag it like its a toy put a whole different perspective how big and heavy a train is. Im looking at the truck now, its destroyed, the handrails are bent on the loco."

    The reason for the air horn to the end is that when an emergency brake application is in progress, there is no safe bet that entire train will stay on the tracks. Literally anything can happen.

    There have been cases where trucks hit by trains end up causing derailments. Take a look below.
    This accident happened in 2013 along the Metra Milwaukee District West Line in Bartlett,Illinois. Commuter train was already slowing down to arrive at the Bartlett train station when it hit a car hauler stuck across the tracks. The video speaks for itself.

    The car hauler is lucky this wasn’t an express during rush hour (some of the trains skip stops on their runs between Elgin and Chicago Union Station-typically running “highball” at 65-70 m.p.h.,and the train was in “push mode”). Otherwise the damage could’ve been catastrophic!
