School only does 20 hours

On a side note, I asked my primary Neurologist if I might be able to drive again! This was what he did when I asked that question------

Fair but my point was more not all of us can self educate insofar as getting ahold of a semi to learn on. You can read a hundred books but until you get behind the wheel you know nothing. A trucking school is just a nessesary step some must take for lack of better options to learn how to use the equipment.

But good school or bad, self taught or not i will agree it boils down to inherient desire, skill and mindset.

I got my license like this , they just mostly show you how to pass the test . You might learn a few things but honestly a lot of places don't accept these places as accredited school .
I paid a little extra and did get a one on one session driving a 10 speed .

 

Yes they only get "20 hours of driving" in your format, but an intelligent individual can also learn while riding. You can see what is going on that you may not have encountered, listen to the teaching and apply it.

I'm 75 now. In the early 60's I helped out on my uncle's dairy farm daily.

Once in a while id ride with him to deliver a load of milk. Watching him drive that Mack got me hooked. When I was 16 he began teaching me the basics.

I retired in 2011 and I was still learning on each and every trip.

The learning never ends. When you think it has.

Please get out from under the wheel and make us all a bit safer.
