I always shut my door with precisely enough force to close it securely. :angel4:

Driving a truck is easy, backing a truck up is easy.

It isn’t what you know when things are normal, it is knowing what to do when something goes wrong.

90% of the drivers are steering wheel holders and pretty much look at this as a job and nothing more so they deserve a wage that reflects their level of abilities.

If you want the big bucks, then earn it by being a professional, not a steering wheel holder.

No it wouldn't. You got to understand, people want that kind of money, but the job has to be 9-5 and weekends and holidays off. Trucking is good money now, and there is still a lot of turnover. If companies paid 5k a week, they are going care even less about getting drivers home I would think. As soon as a driver has to miss a Christmas or child's birthday, he or she will quit. Even at 5k weekly, it's a lifestyle that isn't for everyone.

Who's making 500 per week out here? Not even your worst company pays that low do they?

I was in the scale house at the coal breaker the other day, and they were talkin about this company that has about five or six tri axles turning over drivers. From outside appearances you would think it was a half-decent company all fairly late model Kenworth not fancy but well-maintained looking. So I asked why is he turning over so many drivers? the answer I got was he only pays his drivers $12 an hour.

Now that I think about it, there's lease purchase operators that are going totally backwards

DoubleO7, PoleCrusher and bryan21384 Thank this.
