Between 125K and 150K. For whatever reason these on my truck lasted 95K. But then they were the original ones from the factory. Joe in the shop said they are garbage and I was lucky they lasted that long.

Quite sure they are in the beginning stage of starting to show wear.

A guy I know that drives for an outfit we interline with recently trashed a lot more than his windshield thanks be to an ice sheet that flew of the roof of a truck in front of him. That one nearly caved in the roof of his day cab.

THAT’S being hard on windshields. ;)

    Drove truck for 7 hours.
    Got in car.

I've long been in the habit of requesting the an extra day off at the beginning of time off allow for dispatch frequently not living up to their end of the two-weeks-in-advance bargain. I'm taking the coming week off and I have just enough hours on my 70 to get back to Richmond today. When (not if,) they try to send me out with something Sunday that will not get me back until Monday they'll be getting a polite but resolute, "no thanks, try again."
Won't be the first time, won't be the last.

OMG! Got back to the yard, loaded up my truck , got my load assignment information, go to find my trl at P1 and it’s not there. Wasn’t at the yard either. Turns out San Antonio FL has about 10 trucks going there and some random driver took my trl instead of trying to find his (it was at the DC). So, I hook up to the trl and my truck started going crazy with the msgs again. This time, my dash went completely black from the DC all the way back to 95. Went to the yard and wrote it up AGAIN, saw the crappy truck that was the only loaner they had, unloaded my stuff back into my car and drove back home. I swear, if it’s not one thing, it’s ten. On the positive, Steven said he would make sure that he talked to Joe and get the truck sent to Volvo. Seems it was in the shop back in October and December for the same issues.

As someone who has never driven for a place with more than probably 70 trucks, it always intrigues me when reading this thread how y’all can go nearly anywhere it seems and there’s a company trailer dropped on the property. I didn’t realize Abilene was that big I guess

Last I heard we had 1300 dry vans and 400 reefers. Fortunately we very seldom loose one. About 5 years ago I had to go get one that was parked in a field for 8 months.
