They are still running a bunch of DM & RD tandem dumps at the coal breaker, and not just because they are too. Cheap to buy new equipment. They don't break and they don't get stuck.

Yeah the LTL 9000 parts are getting hard to come by. Thank God most of the truck is built out of standard stuff, but cab parts and brackets and stuff can be a little hard to find. For that kind of stuff I mostly depend on salvage yards or I just fabricate something.

I used to run an auto car with a 318 Detroit, 13 speed double over, and to speed Eaton tandems. One summer we were working on a co-gen plant and I move some 200,000 pound vessels with it. With everything in low gear that Detroit could be up against the governor and it would be moving slower than a walking pace. But really when you're moving 200000 lb somewhat top-heavy vessels on a construction site that's exactly about how fast you should be going
