Heavy CMV Enforcement on I-80 Between Winnemucca and Reno

    FYI - Nevada Highway Patrol seems to be doing a blitz on CMV's between Winnemucca and Reno today.

    Saw about 5 TTs pulled over and more Highway Patrol sitting in the median. Out in remote stretches of highway. Several of those pulled over were megas so probably not for speeding. Saw a Pride truck EB and Prime skateboarder WB among the others.

    I suppose Highway Patrols have the right to pull over CMVs just for inspection right (no infractions observed)?

    Nevada must have lost so much revenue as a result of Covid, even the check station on I-15 southbound near Apex is open almost every weekday, and it used to be hit or miss.

    At least they did it years ago. Stupid NHP women pulled me over right where on ramp traffic merging after the curve just to check my paperwork on propane double tanker. It's just miracle she wasn't run over with stupid four wheelers.
