Just wanted to say if you're a owner operator and still have your Def system and don't own this tool you're truly missing out. This thing has saved my butt about half dozen times.

    DieselDisciple and JonJon78 Thank this.

I have one for each engine in my fleet. Used the Detroit tool last Monday for a 25% derate due to what the fault said was "Bad DEF quality", fault didn't clear, driver limped it back to the shop only to find out it needed a parked regen. Don't know why I didn't try that with the OTR tool but I didn't think the bad def quality fault would require a forced regen, but in the end that's all it needed. All in all it is a good tool to have.

Absolutely every time that light come on i do forced regen on a couple times the fault came back but I was able to get home and fix the problem. Instead of being stuck on the road. Great tool

For me this issue of "Bad DEF Quality" has been stemming from code 4364 nox conversion efficiency. I have just begun to try the trick to leave Outlet Nox sensor out of the 1box. Have the codes kept coming back for you?

Yes it Would come back about a week after I did a regan. I replaced the outlet nox cause I had this coad along with that one. I had 850,000 miles also thought it made since to be going out.
Went a couple months coad came back this time with a inlet coad replaced that one then 2 months later got the def quality again so I changed the def pump and put a awning kit it. Been 6 months no more problems.
If I hadn't of had of had the OTR TOOL that would of been a nightmare I was never done longer then a hour trying to figure that #### out made over relatively painless.
For 2 nox sensors a pump and a wing kit ran me about $1600 in parts.I did all the labor it is pretty easy.

    Shanok Thanks this.

Thanks man, I appreciate hearing your experience. I guess I will try the awning kit as well as I already have two new sensors, the Freightliner techs have measured good DEF and air flow, and I'm still getting the code.

May also want check gasket and for build up at def pump inlet. For some reason I was build up def right where it injected into the one box I thought maybe the injector had lost some power or maybe def was seeping out so I put in a new pump and awning kit for good measure I had 850,000 miles figured it was time. Good luck def problem suck.

    Shanok Thanks this.
