Came across I-84 in Oregon from Idaho this morning, and the T/A across from the west bound Port Of Entry is open for business (exit 353, Huntington). I saw that they were building a whole new facility a few months ago, and had 'help wanted' signs at the curb the last time I came thru...but it's open for business. They have a chicken place, a mexican joint, and it says a bar and grill (maybe so the DOT can stop by for a cold one after their hard day of inspecting trucks).

A 3/4 mile walk will get you to Farewell Bend State Recreation Area and access to the Snake River.

This is cool, I know Love's has built a crazy amount of stores the past several years including what they are going to build this year. I didn't know TA was building new stores too. This is good to see.

It's a franchise TA. Most of the new TAs are. Supposed to have a bar & grill restaurant there post-covid. And eventually a shop, which should do well being across the road from the POE/scalehouse.

The bar & grill is called Huntingtons.

I thought the name is pretty clever!

about 1/3. I go past every m-f twice a day and the lot is always 90% full.

If it fills early, you could always park at the scale across the highway then walk. That sucks that it sounds like it's full most of the time. I was hoping it was going to have a big parking lot since it looked like a big piece of property.

All of the trucks stops should be 100% paid unless you buy fuel from them
Work it like the shower credits

If I buy all my fuel from say TA why should I pay more to park when the guy who buys all his at lives is holding a spot?

I don’t use loves and would pay to park. I’m not their customer
But TA or pilot get $$$$ from me and I should have a place to park

Just a rant but this has to change
I refuse to pay a company who gets thousands from me already

    autopaint and bthomann Thank this.
