Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

I get one after every load call and after every empty call....plus when dispatched on every load out west you get 'tire chains' msg, and every time to FL you get the 41' bridge reminder. 99% of us know these regs...they need a way for the system to single out newbies that don't know them, and send them those messages instead of everybody getting them.

 

He is with a different company.

 

Saw something totally unbelievable today. A CR England truck with a big 4 million mile sticker on the side....and it was PASSING me...wish I could have gotten a picture to prove it. I didn't know anyone who would stay that long over there.



Oh, and anyone headed thru Wyoming...hurry and get thru. The overhead signs are warning of hazzardous weather between Tues around 11 pm thru Wed 1 pm. I came thru there today and had to deal with mid 50's and the typical Wyoming breeze (40mph gusts...in Wyoming, that's just a light breeze)

 

Comparing us to CRE is a low blow man...this isn't that bad of a company, and they pay pretty good. Plus they have good health insurance that doesn't cost so much, you can't afford to use it. Yes, they nag about stuff like idling and tell you where to fuel, but the up side, when the economy tanks again, and it will...this company will survive where a lot of the mom-n-pop small and specialized carriers won't. Are they perfect, not by a long shot, but their positives outweigh their negatives...and they have a lot of drivers that have been here double digit years.

 

I understand. Given CRE's overwhelmingly negative reputation, I just don't see how someone stayed at a place like that 30+ years is all. Of all the Megas, they have one of the worst reputations for screwing over drivers.
