Hello fellow dumpers, my Texas journey came to a conclusion rather early yesterday, heck I was home for lunch. It was quite an experience for me, I've never really been an OTR driver, spent some time on the east coast years ago as far up as New Hampshire, but the company I drive for stays pretty strictly southeast. I wish I would have taken the time to enjoy the sights more but I'm entirely too structured to a timeline, and considering Monday started the way it did, and I hit numerous backups, I simply played catch up all week. Hopefully the opportunity will present itself to try again at some point and I'll be able to enjoy the journey, one thing I found pretty awesome is that even the 2 lane back roads in Texas are 70 mph speed limits with multiple passing zones built in, they do it right out there.
to all end dump haulers...

@Trashtrucker1707 whatta you doin? I did salt to southern MO yesterday and crushed limestone back to KC. Today I did railroad ballast to Jefferson City MO, clay back to KC and I preloaded rail crop for Coffeyville KS. Suppose to be super windy tomorrow. Should be interesting.
4mer trucker Thanks this. -
Same thing tomorrow. Rail crop to Coffeyville and lime dust back to kck. I much prefer dumping jargon like this barn dooring the tailgate. My short tri axle doesn’t have that option with the automatic tarp. So slow and pulling away from the pile is key.

I’m out and about, shut down about 3 hours east of mobile, I’ll drop there in the AM then most likely head north. @motocross25 i honestly barn door everything, I rarely swap it over to regular dump, I’m a path of least resistance kind of dumper, the quicker everything gets moving the better for me, you’re a better man than me dumping everything dump door, that’s got to be nerve wracking.

@Arctic_fox welcome. We kind of took over this thread and morphed it into an update of our travels. It might be more interesting to start at the end and work back. Up to you.

I’m sitting in Anniston, weather is pretty crappy. I’m finishing up the week then taking a week off, heading up to MO for a few days then wrapping up the week in Nashville with family.
4mer trucker Thanks this. -
Sitting south of atlanta tonight, had plenty of time to make Anniston but the weather outbreak there looks pretty unsettling tonight, keep @NightWind in your thoughts as those storms are moving right through her area.

Did the train yesterday and started the day off with manufactured sand to MODOT. Was supposed to do it all day and then got kicked off about 10 because they had to “start getting trucks switched over and ready”. What. Apparently we are getting 1-3 inches of snow tonight so they put plows and salt shakers back on.
Lathrop MOD.Tibbitt and 4mer trucker Thank this.
