It's those super truckers in the hammer lane tailgating everyone. Trying to intimidate people to get out of their way.

Let's do away with the brakes too. That's one less thing to worry about.
TheLoadOut and Dave1837 Thank this. -

My old truck is already speed limited to 68 courtesy of Rockwell 4.11’s.

Try to imagine 100s of 65mph trucks all bunched up with 1/2 of them taking turns trying to snail pass other heavier trucks on every up hill and then the heavier trucks passing down the hills. Some trucks would be just slightly faster or slower all the time too because that's just how it works.
It's already been going on in Canada for years now. One time I had a 65.1 truck try to pass my 65mph truck for about 30 minutes up there. He blocked the left lane and had so many cars sitting behind him that they went all the way to the horizon. I could have let up but I just couldn't even believe that the fool thought that he needed to pass me because you couldn't even tell that he was gaining on me and I figured that the people in the cars needed some additional incentive to think about their dumb laws. I didn't make the law so why should I be the only one suffering the consequences of going slow everywhere?alds, truckguy391 and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
Wouldn't bother me. I prefer to run at 62 MPH.

Just another way for the Megas to try and “level the playing field”

I don’t support mandatory speed limiters. Let the companies decide what they want their trucks to be governed at. Let the owner ops do their thing. Everyone at one speed is going to do nothing but create clusters of trucks riding together and holding up traffic when one tries to pass the other.
Personally, I run my 70mph governed truck at 65-68. That way if I need to get around someone I’m not a hindrance and can use the extra 2-5mph to get around a little quicker. Plus, I get paid hourly so I’m not in a huge hurry.alds Thanks this.
