The only way to help an emissions engine that has to idle a lot is to increase your oil change frequency. Excess soot builds up in the oil with a lot of idling, because the exhaust is choked and it has nowhere to go.
You'll also need enough time at highway speed to give the system a chance to regen, or else plan on doing a parked regen every other day.
