Hoss I think you could do better than Charger, to say the least.
If you’re content in the Reefer segment of trucking, ever thought of hauling pharmaceuticals? Skelton Truck Lines or Sharp Transportation Systems are pretty respected. Skelton has a terminal in Edmonton and Sharp says they have a yard here in town.
Charger Logistics, anyone have any experience with them?

I talked to them before, idk not my kinda work.
I think I’m just gonna keep doing the same old until this truck is paid off, and see if IHaul will let me do city after.
I would like to work for Sunbelt or United Rentals. I can run and load all they equipment, they always seem busy.Phantom Trucker Thanks this. -
Too many seat fillers that will work for nothing, while rates and the treatment that is received from these companies are just BS.
My point was just to illustrate that there are other options and yes there are 25 an hour day jobs there. Four years ago this fall I did a fill in gig there on a gravel job for 26 plus 1.5 after 8 hr. Iron was a little rough and let's not mention city traffic.
There is usually some seasonal road work out of town. Lots of hours equal better dollars. I do though realize that the open road gets in the blood and there is a sense of pride being an O/O. There is the 64,000 dollar question though, are you really content with the life you are leading? -
Hopefully the oilpatch comes back for another couple years. Wouldn't mind trying my hand at running one of those big sows.
Flint1, not4hire and Ol'Shusquatch Thank this. -

What drives me ####ing insane, if these god #### desk jockey burnouts and kids, trying to “plan” and “dispatch” me. I don’t know why, but it just gets to me something fierce. Maybe I used up all my patience in this life, doing the corporate and Oil and Gas thing before trucking. Or maybe I’m just a last of the Late Gen X’er, who still thinks you can take it out to the parking lot; when these little pricks spout off like they do. (But of course you can’t) I just bought a really good stress ball and fidget spinner for the truck and a zen garden and bonzai plant for my desk at home; so hopefully that helps.Ol'Shusquatch and not4hire Thank this. -
