My prepass belongs to me, the company has no control over it.

Yeah, but it's assigned to a company vehicle, and since it's their name and DOT # on the truck, they decide to allow one to be assigned to it or not. When I was at Wylie, they turned our Prepass units off and wouldn't allow us to get one on our own.

The new scales they have built are not in the system only the old ones that those replaced are in the drivewyze system.
The guy that runs the scales for the state sits on prepass’s board.

Interestingly I’ve been pushing giving Drivewyze a shot at my company, because I got it in the truck for a side gig I was working with excellent results. Far better than I’ve had with Prepass. As dumb as this sounds I wonder if the platform it’s integrated with makes a difference?

I had it on my smartphone before, but I have talked to drivers who have it on their PN and had similar results...but it has been a few years.

SSB, what do you mean by "driver funded"?

I don’t claim to be an expert on the subject but driver funded probably means driver pays for it. Just guessing lol

If the driver wanted Prepass, they would allow one to be assigned to their truck, at the drivers expense.

    Lonesome and Winnyf1 Thank this.

Deliver in Allentown in the morning, then to the new shop in New Kingstown (or whatever town it is now that it's across the street from the old barn terminal). Truck is overdue for an A service, my batteries have to be check and/or changed. Hopefully they can replace the inverter. Plus this wonderful autobox has been hanging in 1st-4th about half the time I take off from a pee break or a 30. It doesn't do it after a full 10, just after small breaks. Plus I need this thing to be able to allow me to down/up shift manually, so hopefully they can diagnose if it's the shift lever itself or part of what's causing the thing to hang in gear.

    Bumper Thanks this.
