Im looking at 2 Rgns, here are the specs on both...

These are both Mini-decks 12" loaded height w/5 ride positions

    2021 Hydraulic Kalyn Siebert 35ton
    53ft w/33ft in the well
ill be getting a flip axle also.
My empty weight with this one will be 45-46k

    2021 Hydraulic XL 30 ton
    53ft w/28 in the well
will be getting a flip as well
My empty weight would be roughly 42-43k

The Siebert I don't see much of them around and its just a little more expensive than the XL.
Im torn between the 2 lol.

    Anyone have experience with either?

I’ve have one XL now, the problem is if you want 12” deck height you will have to load to capacity to get the camber out of the deck. Never had any problems with XL, I’ve owned 4, paint is poor, I now buy Transmaster, they build like I want not what they think I need.

Here I am with our Nelson Mini Deck. Deck height is nice at 9 inches. But that camber won't come out until you get capacity like Old Man said. Both of these coil covers only weighed 15k together. Overall height was 15'4". 20210223_120301.jpg

You folks know more than I do. But have have had some experience working on them. Nelson's in my opinion are built to last the test of time.

Yeah I knew a guy at Landstar who had a 2014(this was back in 2019) and if I had to guess I would've guessed it was a 2002 or something. The paint was horrible.....thats one drawback on an XL

You know of all the different brands that we run. XL seems to be the one that the paint fails and rust seem to take over.

Yeah the more I think about it, the more I rule out the XL. I just hate the fact that I wouldn't get all of the well space I need.

Then again the Siebert is a 53' without the flip and I get 33'8(or 33 or 34) in the well. Most states I stay in never bother me now about my length. I almost always leave my flip down on my rgn now so im almost 53'. Va/nc/sc. Im not sure about Georgia, and I do believe Tennessee would nab currently if I roll through the scales long.

Now that I think about it, im gonna have to double check that info about the Siebert being a 53' without the flip.....

Georgia doesn’t have a king pin rule, I buy a Tennesse annual for length, $100.

No I know Georgia didn’t but I always went by their oversized rule, that if I’m longer than 75ft I’ll need rear escort or strobe. I always thought even if I was carrying a legal load my length would make me OD....
