Eaton Fuller 10spd. OEM shift knob A6909. I like the "old school" look so bought an A4491 (flat round chrome 2 position knob). Connected the air lines to the same ports of the original knob, red line on port S and black line on port P but the ranges are opposite now. In other words, DIR is high range and OD is low range. Tried switching the lines but that didn't work, it just pissed air steadily. Is the line combo different or is the new knob not compatible with a 10spd.?? Any help will be appreciated. TIA.

The pic shows 3 ports have you tried different line combinations using all 3 or is the one the exhaust?

That is for a 13 speed. You still need the push/pull selector valve like this to work with it. As far as I know that knob will not work with a 10 speed. The old 10’s had the old push/ pull selector valve like this and a standard ball on top. Most were customized with a metal flake glitterball.

Whats left of the original operation label on the door of my ‘72 White for that two position knob.

The three position knob ( says low-dir-od) does not need the extra range selector valve as the low position on that knob takes its place.

    Roger McG Thanks this.
