I got this thing out of the box, looked it over and can't decide where to mount this thing. I'm thinking on the drivers side cubby. Mounting it sideways (east/west) and tying it into my bunk ducting. Do you think tying into my my ducting is good or bad? Or just drill a hole into the little angle piece between the bunk and closet. Anywho, how did everyone else mount theirs? Also, how the heck did you get the dang tube in the tank? I got both style tubes. The one that you have to drill and the one that goes into the vent. With like 6 inches between the floor of the cab and the top of the tank, how did you get it in there? I've watched a few videos, I dunno.

Mount somewhere easy to access for removal when you have to fix it.You have to roll the tank to get fuel pick up in place

Yeah, I kinda figured on the rolling the tank. I was really trying to get out of that though...lol. I was hoping there was another way. It is plum full now.....figures. did you use the drill in or screw in pipe? I have both, leaning towards the screw in, just for ease. Don't know how I would get my hand in the tank for the other.

There is small plug on the fuel tank top. Take this plug out and install pickup tube instead. Threads are same.

i would put it passenger side cubby, u have to cut fairly large hole in cab to set heater on so intake exhaust go out, u can use that hole to set ur pickup into the tank so u dont have to roll it, i wouldn't tie into ur heater ducts, when u run ac it will back feed throgh heater and take ac efficiency away

Thanks for the help guys. So, I ended up putting it in the driver's side cubby and ducting it into that angle piece between the closet and the bunk. I wanted to put it into the passenger side, but just couldn't make it work with where the crossmembers are. Now I just have to figure out the fuel thing and how to wire the new style controller. Think I'm just going to break down and call CS. Their directions suck and I'm at witts end.

    I did what tj379 said.

Espar instructions say not to use factory ducting, it can melt.

    tj379 Thanks this.

I have an Espar D4 and this as well as every other espar has had its own factory vent installed probably for as posted. Heat?
If You ever need more heat movement then turn on your Apu fan and it will circulate through the other factory truck vents
The D4 will cook you out of the truck so it’s never been needed

I don't have an apu. I just can't make one pencil. I think I'm going to put in a marinaire unit this summer. I did end up just venting it by itself though. Even though my truck is older, I still cringe at drilling holes in it.
