Maybe the rules have changed. I had a 36 mo. Waiting period to get my CDL due to a suspension. Had a Chauffeurs License, When it was suspended for 3 mos. due to excessive points. During the 3 mos. CDL went into effect. Couldn’t get an A or B License. If I had already had a Class 1 or 2 ( CDL B or A) , I would have simply gotten it back. But New CDL rules stated 36 mo. waiting period for new CDL. I could only get my Chauffeurs.

Prob not, but a majority of the companies are running licenses yearly, or monthly like my old oil field company due the insurance companies getting tired of paying out the pocket for ticket ridden drivers who have accidents and others sue. Just make sure you tell them about it when you apply.
