    I am curious about the hiring process at R & L carriers for team drivers, particularly the physical. Can I bring my own DOT physical or will they require a new one with a company doctor? I appreciate any information from people who work there now, are you happy? Thank you

    See ad online, fill out online application. Get invited to terminal for an, “interview” Arrive at terminal and discover the, “interview” is filling out a 20-page paper application. Hear nothing for 3 months. Receive text inviting you to their, “Job Fair”. Block their number.

    Good company. You will have to use their doc for DOT physical. It is an odd mix though. My favorite saying is three ways to do things;
    The right way
    The wrong way
    The R&L way!

    It’s not a smart Alec remark, they just March to the beat of their own drummer. Bad or good depends ALOT on the terminal manager. As a team you’re not as beholden to the TM though, you deal more with central dispatch which can be iffy. Equipment is good, pay is good, benefits are middle of the pack. The teams run wild if you don’t have a bid turn. Usually off on weekends unless you want to stay out. Forward cameras that have the ability to be activated for driver facing if you’re a habitual screw up. Inward lens is physically blocked until you give them reason to unblock it. Trucks are all autos with nanny cruise control , lane departure, etc. they allow pets as I understand

    I got a new physical they paid for. Not really a company doctor they just used a clinic down road from the terminal.

    What info are you wanting to know? I ran team for while there out of Nashville.

    Was opposite for me. Filled out app. Got called to take drug test physical next day. Once they ran through my app I got the green light to start. Pretty straight forward process. No road test no interview.

    DrivingMyLifeAway2 Thanks this.

    My buddy out of Norwalk dropped rear pup pulling out the door. They had to reload it.

    They told him it's all good this happens all the time. That was the end of it.

    I was out of NOR, the biggest issue wasn’t nit picking things or being micromanaged,it was the favoritism and unequal standards

    Lonesome, jtaran06 and MACK E-6 Thank this.
