I own a brokerage and honestly we do not check how old your authority is. We make sure your insurance is good and book the load. Simple as that.

I started in 2018 never had it happen. In fact first load I got the broker asked how old is my authority, I told him it’s new but I’ve been driving for 10 years. I was only driving for 1 week, but I said it with confidence.

I got turned down a few times during the first 3 months but it wasn't some hurdle that was insurmountable. Just call the next load you're interested in and keep at it.

My first six months, a grand total of four brokers wouldn't work with me.

I remember that time from my first foray into the business. I had some brokers who went so far as to say 3 years, LOL. Introduce yourself to some brokers and develop a relationship and pull loads for them. Also uber if you can get signed up.

    KostaN Thanks this.
