That aside, once the roads get cleared, everyone's probably gonna be running gangbusters trying to make up for those days of sitting.Radman Thanks this. -

Well, I take it none of us dieded in this storm. I sat in Springfield CO for about 34 hours waiting for the roads to actually open back up and then hit it immediately on Monday night. The snow was all around, but the roads were more or less cleared of any ice/snow as I was able to high-ball it up to Platteville by early Tues morning. Only detriment was the CO-66 from the 25 to the plant near Colorado Blvd/CR-13 being still completely covered with thick snow/ice. Went down CO-119 to Colorado to 66 and bypassed that mess.

The biggest mess I dealt with from this storm was Wednesday morning. Stop and go from Idaho Springs to the tunnel. Why? Guys with snow on top of the box setting off the height detectors!
And instead of exiting like the flashing sign with the loud bell instructs, they continued and set off the next detector which throws the stop lights for all traffic! Then the attendant has to come out and direct them into the pull off. SMDH!drvrtech77 and bentstrider83 Thank this.
