Include W-2 forms, and if you choose, past income tax returns.

Also, copies of your personnel file, if you are able to obtain them, could also be of great help. Be sure to include everything in your personnel file, to insure and display complete transparency and honesty to the company that you are applying for a job with.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, all year round.

Your drug test history will show who you worked for and when. New outfit will know straight off whose had you on their books.

I would like to point out something very important with these situations. First just because a carrier tells a driver they won't verify employment does not mean they will not once that request is officially presented to them. The FMCSA does have a procedure in place for these situations when a carrier running under their authority refuses to release employment information. First, let me direct you to part 391.23 (c) (3) -----

    (3) Prospective employers should report failures of previous employers to respond to an investigation to the FMCSA and use the complaint procedures specified at §386.12 of this subchapter. Keep a copy of the reports in the driver investigation history file as part of documenting a good faith effort to obtain the required information.

    (a) Complaint of substantial violation. (1) Any person alleging that a substantial violation of any regulation issued under the Motor Carrier Safety Act of 1984 is occurring or has occurred must file a written complaint with FMCSA stating the substance of the alleged substantial violation no later than 90 days after the event. The written complaint, including the information below, must be filed with the National Consumer Complaint Database at NCCDB - National Consumer Complaint Database or any FMCSA Division Administrator. The Agency will refer the complaint to the Division Administrator who the Agency believes is best able to handle the complaint. Information on filing a written complaint may be obtained by calling 1-800-DOT-SAFT (1-800-368-7238). A substantial violation is one which could reasonably lead to, or has resulted in, serious personal injury or death. Each complaint must be signed by the complainant and must contain:

I know for a fact the FMCSA takes these complaints very seriously and has on more than one occasion made a threat to yank a carrier's authority for not releasing information another carrier is legally required to have on file.

There is one on commercial drivers, fmcsa has it, others not so much, but I’m sure you can throw a lawsuit against them for something these days, harassment, everyone else seems to on the media these days.

So what you are saying is there is no law you can find, but are unwilling to actually admit your wrong.
    Gotcha.

And yes, there is not a law on waiting on employment verification. The only thing close is the new employer has 30 days to make their inquiry and create a DQL file.

    Farmerbob1 Thanks this.

    Well.
Here’s how to get it, since I’m wrong.
    File a lawsuit.

There are no official laws that require employers to verify employment on former employees. However, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission stipulates that it's illegal to refuse to provide information based on race, sex, color, and other non-job-related factors.

    But keep w2s.
    Or quit working for shysters.

Still didn't actually answer the question. And since you were so wrong about the 30 days it's likely you are wrong about that too.

Unless, of course, you can actually show said law.
And why bring protected questions up other than to deflect the fact you are still wrong
Just admit your wrong, learn something and move on.

    Farmerbob1 Thanks this.

    I don’t care wtf happens,
You’re to interested in right and wrong to even suggest anything.
This is the problem with the system, everyone wants to prove right or wrong, and not fix the problem at hand.
So, I’ll leave it to you, governor, with a little g.

    Farmerbob1 Thanks this.

Just tell them you drove for Green Pete Trucking. I’ll verify your experience. Just give me a heads up on what story you told them:)
