China has a mid-size pickup truck that looks like a Ford F-150.
    Six speed manual transmission.
    Top speed of 90 mph.
All the goodies, such as high-end tires & rims and lots of other stuff.
    Cost is $16,000.00

When I saw that picture the fist thing that came to mind was how they would drive those trucks in Asia with the bed wide open like that. For some reason I visualized Americans doing the same thing. Lol.

Nowadays sadly the most common pickups here stateside are crew cabs with automatic transmissions, 6 1/2 foot beds and they’re typically midsize or full size costing more than a house! The ONLY new truck that you can buy with a manual transmission option here in the US is the Toyota Tacoma-and those will set you back anywhere from $29K to $45K-and Toyota sure isn’t discounting them!

Remember a few years back when Mahindra had plans to offer a compact pick up truck in the US that would’ve included a diesel engine option? Well the company screwed up and scrapped those plans.A lost opportunity.

Round here they seem to prefer the sissy 5'8 beds. I dunno but those proportions just look goofy to me. 6'6 bed just looks so much better on all 3 typical cab sizes. Exception being the Mega Cab Ram. Only look good with the 8' bed conversion IMO.

Don' t think they will compete with toyota's in Asia or Fords or Chevys or Dodge over here.
