HAMMER Truck GPS Launches!

Is there a way to have the voice announce the exit number or road in general to take? Not usually a problem except for certain roads that have multiple exits (such as for North and South). These exits are usually so close to each other, when it says take exit on right, I’m not 100% certain which ramp, so I have to glance at the app.

 

I used it today and really liked it o far but WOW does it drain the battery like crazy, Is that normal for a iPad?

 

I use it. But it really does need a few things. I can't make U-turns. But it says to make one. It doesn't register truck speed limit when there is one. It needs an option to set your governed speed. So the ETA is accurate.

It did try to get me on a weight restricted road today but I didnt fall for it.

 

I’m trying this. I use it along with my Garmin. I like to run two GPS’s. Sometimes don’t like where one wants me to go. Watch my Garmin at the end. It likes to fool around. I don’t need a tour of the neighborhood.
I like this better than Co-Pilot.
I hope it doesn’t work off google maps? Want to get away from google.
I’ll watch. Carefully offer constructive criticism.
Today I checked. Didn’t show truck stops? The “All” is checked. Yesterday it showed one TA. There are more truck stops in the area.

 

I just tried to go from Saddle Brook NJ, to St Louie. With street addresses at both ends. Hammer said it couldn’t find a truck route. Said to try car route and take my chances.

 

It’s done that to me a coulle of times too. Can’t remember the routes involved though. I’ve had it tell me that, then I try it again down the road a little ways, and it finds a route then.

 

Is that it’s way of saying: This place sucks. Find your own way out. You’re on your own.

 

Hi @prosidius great feedback, this is already in the pipeline I do not have an exact time line when it will be available, but, our developers are working on this feature please keep your Hammer app up to date

I’m sorry to hear that the route suggestion provided you with a route that was not suitable for your truck. Hammer suggests routes based on the information available in online mapping databases. Databases are not a substitute for human judgement and route suggestions should not be blindly followed, thank you for using your awareness and road knowledge and decided to go around the restricted road.

Can you please provide your origin and destination address so we can investigate further and have map databases make a correction to their data.
