Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

The 2 most influential things in life are money and p..... uhhhh, how do I say this without being too graphic and offensive... puddy-tat .... if you've got one or the other you can have things your way.

I don't think we have to worry about that...being the full time boss without Mr.Acklie to back him up has made him age a lot faster...I almost didn't recognize him on the videos we watched in orientation.(and if he remembered what I look like, he'd probably say the same thing)

 

Had a big day, mileage wise, yesterday. I left Brigham City UT and didn't stop until North Platte, NE. 681 miles in my drag-n-fly slug of a truck thru the terrain in WY is about as hard as I can push her. Backed in a spot at the Love's with 8 min left on my drive clock. After seeing that there was some more of that white stuff suppose to fall there soon, I wanted to get thru there before it started and that delay in getting my drop trailer loaded meant pushing a bit.

 

I am on my way out west again. I had planned on taking the rest of the day off after I delivered this morning. The 1st half of the week's hours are kinda lousy, so I won't get much back after tonight. But, dispatch asked if I wanted to run, or wait till morning. I explained that one of the next 4 days has to be short so I accumulate some hours, or I could deliver a load out west if it delivers on Friday and squeeze in a 34 enroute. So, they sent me a short run over to MS out of Atlanta. Cool. Then, on the way across AL, another beep...and it's a load out of a plant north of Memphis headed to Henderson, NV for anytime Friday. So, off I go into the wild wild west again. And, once again, the weather Gods look like they're gonna smile on me. All the way out there looks great.
