Keep in mind we’re a couple of former Magnum drivers here, but for me what worked as a conversation with Chad, it worked out and I was happy to continue with Magnum and left when I burned out on pulling reefers.

As @supersnackbar said your DAC will have all items damaged on it no matter how minor, shouldn’t be a big deal unless there’s a big deal. Yes if you have experience and a good record getting a new gig is not to much of a problem for the time being. Hope this helps.

    flightco and dwells40 Thank this.

Was this driver having problems before getting low miles, being late, running over HOS, wanting l0ts of home time and taking more then asked for or turning down loads, stuff like that, I got more miles then I can shake a stick at, but I won’t take a day off for months, but you will be on the hook for your ride home. . And I would check your DAC report to make sure nothings is put on there.

I would start applying for jobs now if you want to jump ship, this way the new company can get you from Fargo to the new job.

Ask for a different flavor of Kool-Aid from the cult leadership :D (sorry, couldn't help it, the other, sarcastic personality, had to say it)

OK after 17 months with Magnum, everything was fine until you quit. I had to retire because of health reasons. They will not pay for your rental car home. Actually they made my dispatcher pay for my rental car and I had to give my dispatcher the cash for the rental car. Be it said my dispatcher was PISSED and so was I. WHAT company makes an employees pay out of pocket for their driver to get home? Then I wanted my full $500.00 pet deposit returned. I cleaned and vacuumed the truck and they are telling me they have to get it cleaned and that cost $375.00 I left it the way I got it CLEANED. Stay away from Magnum, because they say they love you but your gonna get F-ed in the end, so much for being a responsible driver.

I see nothing done wrong. Nobody pays for you to go home. Plus they're required to have the truck professionally cleaned. If they were to give to truck to someone with animal allergies and they suffered an attack. They'd be leaving themselves open for a law suit.

RoadCall, JoeyJunk and ncmickey Thank this.

I've changed jobs a fair amount in the last decade...and only one company provided me a rental car when I departed(WyMoore), and that was because the person in charge of telling me I no longer worked there knew me(and he was part of the Moore side before we were merged together), and he knew how much profit I brought the company just from a lack of freight claims (as in, almost never had broken glass, and any I had weren't a result of driver error). So he insisted that they provide me suitable transportation home...but I had to pay for the gas.

Sorry about your health, ARNI. I guess there's no downside to badmouthing ex-employers since you're retired but that's a pretty silly reason to get upset. It's a business.
