Throttle in my 05 379 with a C15 is intermittently cutting in and out. I talked to my local Peterbilt dealer and was quoted $1400. They gave me a part number and suggested for me to look into an aftermarket part. I have been searching and phoning around but haven't had any luck. I was wondering if anyone had some better leads. Thanks in advance.

Is your problem a throttle position sensor or something else

I have a brand new one still in the box for a 2000 379 C15. What's the part number?

    baha Thanks this.

Did you check the three-wire connection going to the throttle?

351733WIL I checked battery connections, cables and wires from throttle. Also made sure fuses were good with no corosion. My mechanic was leaning hard on throttle being the problem although electronics are not his strong point on account of his age but don't tell him that. Lol

I'll see if it's the same part number as the one I bought.
My intermittent no throttle response ended up being the connection.

You were likely quoted a whole throttle pedal. Ask if the sensor is available seporate. OE sensor should only be 2-300 cocos.

Sounds like not asking that question has cost me a few thousand dollars.
    Thanks for sharing.
