Oh, that was low. One of my biggest fears, is that I'll lose eyesight. I have one eye, extreme dry eye, and is blurry sometimes, it freaks me out. buzzard is right, ins. companies call the shots, and if you can't comply, out you go. We lose a lot of good drivers that way. Do you have like a glass eye or something? I know this is terrible, but could you not say anything and fall through the cracks? Shame one has to even think that today, but it seems today, it's screw or be screwed. Good luck, pal

Only people I've come across that are mostly one eyed, have been in the seat since the 80's or longer. Lots have changed in just the last 10 years.Sirscrapntruckalot and slow.rider Thank this. -

I just read in "Landline" that the FMCSA has a rule making proposal that closed for comments on March 15 to do away with the Federal vision waiver process and formalize the exemption as allowing mono vision when vision in the single eye has been stable for (?) years. In other words, your DOT examiner would be able to give you a med card if you have stable monocular vision of 20/40 or better.
