Looking for a Louisiana Insurance Carrier for a new venture, small fleet of four dump trucks. Drivers all have experience. Progressive is extremely high. Any other known carriers?

Progressive is generally the cheapest for new entrants.

National Indemnity (I'm a office manager for them) would do your insurance, but doubt it would be cheaper than Progressive.

LA is a difficult legal climate for carriers, with ridiculous awards, so consequently any market that tries to write coverage there has to have ridiculous rates......if the juries ever figure out when they give huge awards for damages, SOMEONE has to pay for it.....then change may come. Insurance is based on spread of risk......so everyone in LA has to help pay for the crazy awards.

Try OOIDA, if they don't insure then they can tell you who does.
