Notes :
When I park the unit goes on continuous.
I try to park way out by myself or next to other reefers .
Say what you want about reefer work but I'm always busy and have never starved in this facet of the industry...I live in omaha Nebraska and as long as people eat beef and pork my bills will be paid .
If you are one of those that thinks a truck stop is a resort don't park next to me .
A soupy cow trailer parked next to me does not offend me !IH Truck Guy, D.Tibbitt, Brettj3876 and 4 others Thank this. -

An adverb modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb. “They quickly loaded the butt load of butts.”
I’ll count your transgression as simply too much Red Bull and cheese nachos from a Flying J.Trucker61016, Lumper Humper and nredfor88 Thank this. -

Basic grammar lessons from 3rd grade or basic physics?
I'd have thought that Audible and youtube together ought to make everyone with a driving job at least familiar with much more than they arr i guess
(Though in reference to the original guy i was dumbing things down from, i imagine he was studying physics at much higher than high school level)Trucker61016 Thanks this. -

First off, I must correct myself. It is not the Schrodinger's uncertainty principle, it is the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. Unsure how I made such a bonehead error. Schrodinger is most famous (outside of the theoretical physics world) for a thought experiment referred to as Schrodinger's cat. He and Einstein used to posit thought experiments back and forth to debate the effects of quantum theory. Which, although based directly from Einstein's work, Einstein never cared for and often tried to disprove the consequences of quantum mechanics. These thought experiments Schrodinger and Einstein would posit to each other where to argue back and forth about the validity of quantum mechanics. Somehow, Schrodinger's cat thought experiment became famous. Much of the theory behind Schrodinger's cat is based and developed from the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.
The uncertainty principle posits that you can not know both exactly where a particle is (think atoms, electrons, protons, neutrons, and the other lepton and hadron particles) and its velocity. There is a finite product of the two such that, if you knew exactly where a particle is located, you would be unable to determine its velocity. If you know the precise velocity of a particle, you can not also know it location. It was published in 1927 and to date has never been disproven.
Feynman (my favorite physicist) diagrams are used to illustrate the interactions of different (subatomic) particles. These diagrams are rather ingenious in providing clearer visual insight into the extremely complex and non-intuative behaviors of subatomic particle interactions.
One last geek thing. Richard Feynman is known for his major role in the development of Quantum Electrodynamics, in simple speak, how light behaves. If a theory's success is based upon how closely the theory and experiment match, it is considered our most successful theory. Experimental results and theoretical results match so closely that it would be equivalent to measuring the distance between downtown Los Angeles and New York and having the theory and experiment only differ by the width of a human hair.Last edited: Mar 26, 2021

This thread has given me new hope in truckers. Not in the asinine ways they/we park sometimes but most certainly in terms of erudition.
I, for one, usually think about one thing when parking. If I have an appointment or need to leave early in the morning is there ANY way I can get blocked in here? I'm not really interested in knocking on doors at 0500. That guy is a jerk for blocking me but he's also a driver who may have been forced to drive late due to unforeseen circumstances and he's just trying to sleep. Sometimes it's hard to see the whole situation in the middle of the night pulling in somewhere tired. That's not giving lazy stupid people the benefit of the doubt, it's an attempt to live and let live and make sure MY trip isn't screwed up.
I do not park on exit ramps though unless it's the well worn type way off the drive lanes. I'll always pick the entrance lane on the other side of the exit in this circumstance if possible.
If p*ssed off enough I will lay on my horn as leave when I pass an obviously moronic parking job. You're welcome!Rctruck87, Gearjammin' Penguin, Coffey and 2 others Thank this. -
