I booked a load from Schneider was told drop trailer 48 hours in the receiver, but they took 47 days to empty my trailer, but Schneider only pay me $100 per day, defiantly it is not fair and not enough for the driver. Please give me some advice what I can do? Thanks!

After 48 hours detention. Call the local police and report your trailer stolen.

Try to work your way up the management chain. After the fact it's hard to recover any more than what they offer.
Read your contract. What are the terms you agreed on. Not only in the rate contract but also the main contract.

I agree $100 a day is not sufficient pay, you may have agreed to it.

    Good luck

Not trying to sound judgemental, but, what happened after 48hrs. that made you continue to allow them to use your trailer for storage? After the agreed upon time frame of 2 days, your trailer should have been empty. When it wasn't empty and I assume they gave you the run around, I think xsetra is right, maybe you should call the police. At least then, they'd know you mean business and your trailer would have been back in your possession. Now that everything is said and done, there is probably nothing you can do really. You might try to threaten legal action, maybe get a little more money, but, probably not. If you are doing well with Schneider, and use them a lot, you'd probably be best to drop it and use this as a lesson. But, I'd sure be raising hell with them to be sure that they knew my displeasure with the entire situation and maybe they can will do something to help. I'm sure there might still be other things you can do, but, I've never had a problem like this. I always try to stay hooked or at least on the same lot as my trailer.
Going rate, best I can tell is $300 to $500 a day for a dropped trailer detention(I'm sure someone will have a more solid number) and you can bet Schneider is getting more than $100 for it. Your mileage may vary though. Hope it works out.

Who is the offending receiver? We need to know so that we can avoid these foul people.

Ok, so $4800 in revenue over 48 days.
I'm guessing you camped out at the Pilot for a month and a half. I think i might have seen you.

    You're full of baloney

Gotta agree with this. Unless you royally screwed up someplace i find this hard to swallow. If it had been my trailer i may have given them an extra day or two because #### happens. But i woulda been breathing down their necks the entire time. After that i would have been screaming blue bloody murder at whoever i needed to to get my trailer upto and including reporting it stolen.

After day 3 I'd have rolled in, hooked up and kicked their #### out on the ground before leaving. JK!

In all seriousness though, why? Why wait 47 days? Makes no sense to me.

Sounds to me like a made up reason to hate on Schneider.
Look, most of us are professionals, and of that group we all know NOBODY is going to make you sit under a load for 47 days.
I feel dirty just replying to this absurd post.
