Man that sucks. Only made it 2 months.
It’s like our trailers. The 2 year old ones get heavily damaged all the time. The 15 year old ones don’t. Always happens to a newer trailer.
SMH.. ready for this one?? Student puts me out of service..

This is why I plan my stops to be in the most destitute areas of my route. Where there’s a brand new Loves can be built and it’s not even half full at 11PM when I start my day. I refuse to park anywhere near cities where truck stops are always crowded.

Dash cam! Prime parking - a little more space and ... yeah the rest is in the hands of trucking Gods. You gotta say a prayer to them every time you park in a tight spot.

A Hirshbach driver from Africa took out my $1500 Deer Guard a few years ago in one of those tight rest areas in West Virginia. He, however, was an honest man, he did not escape and was ready to face consequences. He looked like he killed someone. I let him go, though I was pissed like a mad dog. The spot was so tight that I was more in a mood to blame WV DOT for such idiotic spot allocations and especially myself for taking chances to park there at all.

And yeah... all these contract drivers from overseas and fresh recruits at megas are 99.00% to be blamed for such events. The other 1% are those who park improperly or not in designated places making it difficult for others to get in or get out.
This thread worries me a lot. Imagine you make a lifetime investment of $165 000 and that thing happens to you...putting you out of business for weeks because some Swift ####head was turned loose at least 2 years before they should have been.
I had better log out...my heart pressure is too high, I can feel it. Not good for me!Brettj3876, JoeyJunk, Humbretrucking and 5 others Thank this. -
Always ... ALWAYS ... take pictures of his truck, plates sides and even the driver, be aggressive on getting as much info as you can, don’t mess around with worrying about the driver and you taking pictures.
Report this to his company, no matter what, call them up and report it. Get the cops to give you the information about who owns the trailer, contact the company and let them deal with it on their end.
And a very very important piece of advice, never ever worry about his license or his job. He apparently isn’t worried or his “trainer” for that matter doesn’t worry. The trainer should be fired for this, he apparently doesn’t give a crap about what happened and is part of the problem with scum drivers we have.Tb0n3, Humbretrucking and Vampire Thank this. -
I was sleeping at a Loves truck stop in Laramie WYO, all of a sudden I wake up to my truck rocking, it was very windy at the time I parked there which I thought was the wind doing it again.
Well I move the curtain to the side just to check outside and I noticed a CRST trailer busted my drivers side mirror, the green reefer meter, made a hole on my door and made a cut with the edge of his trailer on the corner of mine where the meter was.
I didn’t have proper clothes to step out right that second but when I got out the dude finished parking his truck all crooked and and ran out I couldn’t find him. I called the police and they searched and waited for his ##*.
I was like this is the most ridiculous thing ever. If I never opened that curtain I probably wouldn’t ever have known.Humbretrucking Thanks this.
