I mean using zero 3rd party services other than a mechanic or 2 and a bunch of brokerages?

So carrier/O/O and ALL back office work with no help at all.....not even the wife/significant other.

We need a forum or at least this thread IMO.

Me. Did all of the paperwork to get my authority too. Now that being said, if I get a few trucks, I will probably get a secretary of some sort, because that seems like a lot of #### to file on your own. It can't be my wife because if I relied on her we'd all be broke.......

:hello1: I use a 3rd party to do my 2290 filing and that’s it. 23 years in business and I’m preparing for my first IFTA audit.

Best I can tell that's the only way to do 2290. Sorry to hear about the audit.

I do light mechanical, if I tried to do it all, I'd just be sitting in my yard fixing ####

I am. Did my own authority without any outside help as well.
It's a lot of work conpared to just driving with a company but at the end of the day I think the control over your business is worth it.

I do it all myself. I just figured most O/O's did as well. I don't do my own mechanical work even though I wish sometimes I did. Got a PM done yesterday at Speedco and when my engine wouldn't start this morning, I had to fix a pinched gasket on the fuel separator.

I use a safty compliance officer. But everything else is on me. Truck, trailer repair, invoicing, holding customers hands.

I do everything except for an old school tax preparer for my taxes and my local Volvo dealer because I drive a modern truck so I have to use them for diagnostics.

I do all office work, wouldn't want it any other way. There is plenty of time at docks to keep it all done.

    I do all my paperwork.
I used to do all my repairs. I take my truck to mechanic for most of my repairs for the last couple years.

Hire a professional to do my annual tax returns.
