so for just moving a truck only, no trailer It wouldnt even be that much. For tractor only it was $250/hr plus .90/mi plus tolls. We bill from start to finish so from the time I left the yard to get to you, then take your truck to wherever and then back to the yard. That probably would be around $1000. Using a lowboy changes it from a tow to cargo, so you could theorticaly move it for less, but even for a shorthaul like that you're going to look at around a grand no matter what because of the time etc.

Not as much as you would think, at least not where I am. Lots of down time, sometimes weeks between calls meanwhile that $750k+ piece of equipment is sitting there costing you money and earning nothing. Also the hours suck, which is why im going back to trucking. It was a fun experience and I learned some things but I'd rather just be the guy driving the truck and not towing it lol.

Wow this is insane. During the winter, my truck got stuck on soft dirt that I thought was solid concrete. Entire tractor + trailer. It was at night so I didn't realize. Only cost $300 to get pulled out. He must have been balls deep in that swamp
