That's a great idea. Main problem with that is: I don't have a job. Of course I could take one for a spell.

Just your opinion or do you have facts to back it up?

Are you going to lease on to someone or own authority?
If you’re leasing on and can’t be profitable below 6mpg, then I would be looking elsewhere.

Anyone with a working brain knows the answer to that question, so do I need to answer it for you?

Lease on. Want to do my own authority later, if I think I can find the niche that will please me, but this was to be a baby step. It might not be a good offer; looking at them because of a personal recommendation. But the guy I know who works there is not a driver. My numbers may be skewed. Don't know what to project for price of fuel, etc. Really I'm just needing to do SOMETHING to get my foot in the door. I can always move along if it turns out to be a stinker, and I figure I will still be better off at that point for having tried it. Because I've been telling myself for a long time I'm going to do this, but I never have. Too intimidating.

So owning one for 20 years PRIOR to the ELD mandate isn’t a reason to own one???

Lot of people do a lot of assuming

Another reason is that those trucks don't have any emissions devices on them. You only deal with mechanical repairs and not some computers/ sensors glitches.
A pre Eld/pre Egr fully rebuilt long nose KW or Pete is a wet dream for many many people.
