@BigR congrats on driver of the month, it feels good to be recognized. I always felt like I was just doing my job, but FCC acknowledged it, and I appreciated that.

    BigR Thanks this.

How does the truck selection work out on the lease purchase program with FCC? Are they only used company trucks that are available? If so, I guess you are pretty much at the mercy of what is available at the time? Would it be possible to lease the truck you are already in if you liked it?... just figured I'd throw a few questions out there for the lp guys. Thanks in advance

Call and talk to Mike in recruiting, he’s also in charge of the lease.

    BigR Thanks this.

Yes, I asked the very same question. Rather have the tractor that I know the history of, etc... Mike said he didn’t know of anyone that did that but probably wouldn’t be an issue. One might have to wait until they are ready to lease out that specific unit or maybe pay a higher rate if it’s newer than most units going into the program.

The last I heard the LO program was suspended due to the covid uncertainty... that was last fall so that may not be the case anymore.

    BigR Thanks this.

It’s no longer suspended, I do know they have become flexible on the mileage limit that they will lease a truck, it was 250k when I leased my truck.

    MidWest_MacDaddy and BigR Thank this.

    *flatbed*

Unloaded my load of lumber this morning in Porter OK, Took a small trip up the turnpike to another turnpike to Catoosa for a load of plate steel that delivers tomorrow in Columbus NE. The customer is closed tomorrow (Good Friday) but my DM has told me to drop my trailer there.

Not a huge trip. 506 miles. But its something to slide me into our freight market. DM called me up this afternoon asking what I wanted to do tomorrow.
    • Conestoga load for a multi stop in LA metro for Monday and Tuesday.
    • Irrigation for Lubbock.
    • Multi stop poles for MO and TN.
    • Another load I forgot the details on.
    • And one for West Columbia TX.
His only hang up that he has will be that I’m dropping a trailer at the customer in Columbus NE and getting another empty to drop at the pickup. Good problem to have, but I’ll be in an earshot of Fremont so he wasn’t too worried about it.

That's actually really nice that they asked you what you wanted to do and gave you some options to choose from. It must make things a lot better for you when they do that.
