What makes you assume he wasn't patrolling a different stretch of highway?

Taking photographs of evidence is SOP during a crash investigation.

Yeah, I personally take to issue with any of that. My issue is with Twitter. What was to be gained from that. Other than an ego boost for the cop. Just like every other person on social media......look at me.......look at me.

Actually the Twitter post was setup by the particular troop barracks that investigated the crash, not the individual trooper(it has the highway patrol’s name written all over it),meaning it’s officially state sanctioned. Georgia,Indiana,Illinois,Kentucky,Florida,California all do the same thing-and some of those states are far worse!
Either way the driver is toast-and he should’ve known better in this day and age of social media.
Suing for defamation will be the least of his worries-the driver will be lucky if he doesn’t get a prison term! Looks like the trailer is an ex-Schneider pumpkin.

Perhaps you've heard of this thing called PR? The point of that post was to discourage drinking and driving, particularly among commercial drivers.

Yeah, kinda my thoughts as well. I don’t see much professionalism from either end on this one.

Similar to when some police departments will put a totaled car out with a sign. Something to the effect of.... This DB was drunk, don't be a DB like them, cause this is the result.

Really, anyone caught drinking and driving should be charged with, at least, attempted manslaughter. There's just no excuse. And if you're that dumb, I'd rather you be removed from the gene pool.

In addition to the anti drunk driving posts the cops should have also used this situation to advocate against domestic violence since Stella artois is known as “ the wife beater”

That's fine, if he gets prison. Again, up to the court to decide, not the court of public opinion.

That's not the point. That is what the law is for. If he violated the law, that is for a court to decide and dole out a punishment accordingly. That is not for any dept to decide. It's not like folks don't know drinking and driving is bad.....shocker there right. Kinda like the breast cancer awareness crap. Who the heck is unaware in this day and age.
