I live close to Penner. You may have problems getting your drivers approved. They are very particular. You should ask about the speed limiter. Used to be about 95 ( I think).

I came from SLH to CAT. it's not bad. I'm out east, we have a good amount of work, south to Carolinas or Texas, Ontario, home. Pay is ALWAYS there and correct. Always get answers when I need them, tho on the weekends Coteau can be hard to reach as there is only 1 dispatcher at night, and it's a big fleet.

When I first went ABL, our big contracts were SLH and TransX. I always preferred working with SLH over TransX. Trailers were also better, and the loads were way lighter. When CAT took over, they seemed to remove the stick from a lot of the SLH dispatchers #####. Should have kept doing CAT ABL work, but got sucked back into Bison/TransX and then IHaul with a bit of Mullen.

Crazy amount of CAT in and around Laredo. Not sure if they have a yard, but never less than 5 of their trucks at the Loves Laredo or the Loves at Encinal TX just up I-35.

CAT has a yard in Laredo, used to be off of Mines and Killam when I used to run down there but that was 5 years ago, not sure if its still in that location.

Im finishing up with IHaul, taking a couple weeks off, then heading to Landstar.

local is a bad joke, and I’m kinda just done with all the Canadian Companies. One of the upsides to ABL, is you get to work for everyone Atleast once, without having to sign on the dotted line. I can say right now, that I wouldn’t sign on with ANY company I have done ABL for (except maybe CAT). I’m also tired of ABL, as these companies are to stupid to live now, they constantly book you and cancel, I’ve had some book/cancel 5 times in one day.

They did, never worked for Penner, but I hear they’re letting them still do their own thing.

We are affiliated with Rich Logistics and are in their yard now in Larado. Use to have our own spot but they moved us out there now.
