I run 1995 11.1 L S60 Detroit in a Century with Eaton RTLO16713A tyranny and 293 different. I have a PP BOX on 365 hp and 1365 torque. I average no less than 8mpg each quarter when I file my IFTA. I run a lot in 11th (direct drive) at 60 mph and always very light. I am sure I could average 9mg if I was more disciplined about staying below 60mph and keeping the boost as low as possible.

I should say, I have a tilt manifold with a turbo for a 430 hp. I run the lowest rolling resistant tires; have fleet air filter, fass, and side skirts. Don't have anything to help with the low pressure behind the trailer-yet. Put in service this trailer last year, but because of the pandemic, I haven't been able to get the product I want for the trailer tail drag. Pretty soon, I am going to move on and put whatever I can get, like Airtabs. I often average 9.5-10 mpg now because fuelups (100 gal+) when I work hard at it.

    I have a 15 cascadia. 10 speed. Dd15 thats been "modified"

I get 7mpg average. Parts are cheaper than other brands. And it suits my needs. When engine fails I will swap s60. I'd like to buy a freightliner classic and build it to my spec .I love those . A lot of people hate on FL but I have had great experience with them and my repair bills are lower. In truth. I've only had small repairs on this truck.

2001 Titled Classic ( actually built as a 2000 ) 84” bunk, 285 wb. 500 S60 13 spd. 354 rears. 5.5-6.2 mpg at best. Fresh inframe, hopefully I can increase mpg’s with a tune in the near future. Last 12 yrs. Trucks been very economical, except for the most important thing, fuel economy.
