And I can see the plaintiffs in that suit having a rosy future with that company. Not. Even if they are kept on after the dust settles that camera will be used to build a bad driver case against them. Everyone gets distracted by something sometime.

    NavigatorWife and Milr72 Thank this.

If im off duty, the camera would be covered. Fire me. I was looking for a job when I found this one. I would not cover the outward facing camera. But the inward facing one for sure.

Well I just weeded out a shill here to spy on us, and mislead us. Or they can't comprehend what they read?

    You pretty much said...
"If the company you work for is breaking the law and violating your rights how do you plan to sue for choices you made?"

    You're dismissed.

Now that would be dumb (to stay, after a lawsuit) I've no intention of doing that.

I know they can try to do bad things to you even after you leave. In which case they get sued again. How long are you suposed to put up with people thinking they own you? And ignoring your rights?

Yep you caught me. I’ve never driven a truck in my life. Keep trying to pass responsibility for choices you’ve made onto others instead of owning up to the fact that you work for a crappy company and moving on. You’re the one that gets up every day and chooses to drive the junk equipment, and chooses to drive the truck with the camera in it. I’m gonna slink off with the other non-drivers on this site now. I’m sure glad I never became a driver and then an owner operator with all the hard working conditions you guys have to endure. My hats off to you for keeping the country moving.

Yes many were doing that and we received written warnings claiming they have a right to know what's going on in the cab, even when we are off duty (including person phone calls?) without telling us? How long will people put up with Orwellian tyranny?

Further more, off topic and not a legal issue but certainly a moral one, they want to switch all trucks to automatic transmissions so real drivers can be replaced by 2 digit IQ third world Imports, or ...little cats.

Is it a good idea to have a two digit IQ barreling down the highway with 80,000 pounds next to your family, automatic transmission or not?

Not telling drivers they are a 24-7 camera, with audio and saving all your personal phone calls to a cloud, is a civil rights violation. Once people found out, they began looking for other jobs and covering the camera lense. We have families to feed.

Don't listen to any corporate shill in here pretending to be one of us drivers, and saying there is nothing you can do. We the people indeed have rights. Those rights are being violated and corporate interests are looking more and more like communist tyranny (slavery) complete with spies.

    YOU ARE NOT HEARING ME.
THEY SAID CAMS ONLY SAVE 30 SECONDS WORTH OF VIDEO IF THERE IS AN INNCIDENT, WHEN IN FACT THEY SAVED ALL OF OUR PERSONAL PHONE CONVERSATIONS FOR OVER A YEAR, AND WE ONLY RECENTLY FOUND OUT. YES MOVING ON, YES SUING!

AND YES CAN SUE FOR LOG TAMPERING. TO SUGGEST ONE CAN NOT, CLEARLY EXPOSES YOU AS BEING HERE TO SPY AND MISLEAD.
