Since your vehicle only has 2 axles, not only are you are free to go as fast as the 4-wheelers, you can also ignore truck lane restrictions: "Vehicles that are required to travel at a maximum of 55 mph on California highways must use a designated lane or lanes." (emphasis mine)

Unlike cars, you might have to go into weigh stations, but that's about it. So if you see me not getting over to let you pass, now you know the reason why.

Which letter below includes 6-wheelers (rental vans, etc. with 2 axles)?

    22406.
No person may drive any of the following vehicles on a highway at a speed in excess of 55 miles per hour:

    (a) A motortruck or truck tractor having three or more axles or any motortruck or truck tractor drawing any other vehicle.

    (b) A passenger vehicle or bus drawing any other vehicle.

    (c) A schoolbus transporting any school pupil.

    (d) A farm labor vehicle when transporting passengers.

    (e) A vehicle transporting explosives.

    (f) A trailer bus, as defined in Section 636.

    (Amended by Stats. 2000, Ch. 787, Sec. 22. Effective January 1, 2001.)

A dual rear wheel F-350 is a 6 wheeler. How many axles does it have?

What if the 6 wheeler identifies as a car? Totally acceptable in Cali.

In California, any vehicle pulling a trailer has a 55 mph limit. But I rare;y see that enforced on vehicles other than trucks. Those guys pulling those boats and jet skis between the Az line and Barstow always run 70+ right by cops and never get pulled over.
