ESTES Express (5 Year Review)

The only time I back the dolly up with the lead is when the weathers bad.
I can do it but I’m not as handy as some of the jockeys I see hooking sets. Not even close.
I learned by parking my dolly every morning. Going slow and backing watching one side instead of looking back and forth between the mirrors if that makes any sense at all lol

 

I looked on YouTube on the official Estes youtube channel. To my surprise the Estes family is still in control of the company. I didn't know Estes was a family name, much less that the family was still heavily involved in the ownership of the business. Don't know if Bill Estes is the founder or one of the sons/grandsons, but he was on the youtube video.

I was watching another Youtuber who works for Estes. He said in one of his videos he wasn't sure if you pronounced it Ess tees or ess tiss. The comments had people saying they pronounced it both ways.

Anyways, it wasn't just me who was confused on that. It sounds weird to say ess tiss after I've been saying ess tees the whole time though.

 

When they sent me to the Northeast I have called them some names that I don't care to mention on here.

Depends on the situation. You will call them other names sometimes!

 

Ahhh, the automatic snubber. Our equipment doesn't have that. After 5 years at ABF and 2 years at Yellow where they did have it, I was confused.

 

Ok I have a question. How long does it take to get health insurance with Estes?

I was frl just wondering if there's a trick to it that im missing. This KW glider im in right now the parking brakes don't set the trailer brakes when you pull the yellow knob and I waddle my ### to the back of the trailer to find out that I can't get the dolly on the pintle without waddling back up to the cab and yanking the red knob lol
