Originally I was planning on one more truck before retiring, with this COVID business dragging on, increasing truck prices, carbon taxes, etc I’ve decided my current truck is my last one.
I make good money for myself $80-$100,000 per year depending on how hard I want to work. But we have company driver's doing $86k a year, and they do not have to fix or maintain anything on the weekends like I do.

I really respect that, you're a smart dude to stick with a company like Challenger also. I will say this tho, Ontario has A LOT more opportunity in trucking, esp for O/O's then out West. The competition is brutal out here, and we have to really travel to get to the good freight.

Idk, I think I'm just burned out, I never should have chased money, and instead found my rhythm
while I was at Bison I guess. I hope this new gig makes me like trucking again, its with some very good people, who I worked with in the past, so here is hoping.

The fuel, Pro Rate and IFTA are what really kill it. (also you said it on truck prices, jfc).

I think this might be my last one also, esp if you can work for a company who doesn't skimp on maintenance, doesn't slip seat and buys decent tires.
