    Good evening,

I am new to this website. Please bear with me.

I am from FL. I am trying to get insurance for my truck as a new hotshot driver. I am also new to this industry. It has been a struggle getting insurance for my truck. I have tried Progressive insurance but I could not afford what they were asking me. Their quote was 40k+ a year, no monthly payment, the payment options were quarterly pay with a 50% down payment. It's just ridiculous.

Is there anyone that has had the same situation, and what was your option, what did you do? Please share some information on how you got your insurance (especially in FL), tell me your experiences, what insurance you have, etc. anything relating to insurance.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!
    -Adrian

This one, some drivers say not all brokers will recognize the policy, so you'll have to check it out yourself.

I have Canal and only one broker doesn’t want to deal with it because Canal's credit rating slid to BBB+ from AAA- recently. Not critical so I will wait till the renewal to shop for a new provider.

Progressive may be ridiculous, but I doubt you’ll find any cheaper. That’s what most new guys use.

I have a cargo with Canal and general liability with Loid of London. Accelerated Services doesn’t want to work with me because of Loid of London and Wholesale Express doesn’t want to work with Canal. They want me to purchase additional insurance but both of these brokers don’t want to pay the rates to cover additional insurance. Their loss, not mine I think...

How did it go finding your insurance. I’m in the same boat you were. I’ve been getting quotes for 80-100k per year with progressive. I’ve already invested a so much to want to give up.
