Everytime I get down to fuel I try to conserve my ears by shutting out the noise until the drivers set their brakes next to me but I have noticed that out of nowhere the driver will take extra long to set their brakes almost feels like theyre waiting for me to give up and if I do coincidence happens and they set their brakes. But when I decide to not conserve my ears suddenly the drivers that pull up next to me at the fuel island set their brakes right away is this just me or what!?

Yeah...sounds like a you thing! Some people wait for their trucks to settle and some #### near use it to stop, but either way, it’s never going to be 100% so you’ll still be playing the odds. Unfortunately, for you, it sounds like you’re losing! Good luck with that tho!!!

If the sound of brakes popping bothers you......trucking probably isn't for you.

I’ve noticed that some trucks brakes are much louder than others too, but that just part of the job. I haven’t given much thought to it. Sometimes it’s the most exciting part of the day, getting to pull the yellow knob.

Some trucks are loud when driver set brakes. They just dump all the air and some are slower and more quiet. I have noticed some drives just sit and wait to set their brakes.

which could lead to...forgetting to set them.....

when ever i parked, i pulled them ASAP...no waiting, no care for how loud they were.

better to set'em NOW, then forget, and chase yer truck down the driveway...!!!!!

    Put some ear plugs in.
2.99 for a pack of 20 at Walmart. Disposable.
    Problem solved.

If I knew it was that easy to piss of drivers,
I would wait 5 minutes to set my tractor brakes,
Then another 5 minutes to set my trailer brakes.
That would really send them over the edge.

They’d really freak walking past a truck that had a air start.
    Would get me every time.

1/2 of these clowns driving probably have to set their phone down in the phone holder and then send a few texts or finish watching the porno before they set their brakes.... PRIORITIES!!!
